Middleton Counseling and Consulting
Sarah Middleton LPC (They/Them)
I have trained as a child and family therapist working with trauma and acute crisis situations. I now offer Telehealth services for youth and adults throughout the state of Missouri. I am trained in several modalities, with specific competency training in working with queer and transgender individuals, neurodivergence, disability, and those with complex or developmental PTSD (including the foster care system) as well as caregivers working to overcome the effects of such trauma. I also have training in play therapy and several body-based perspectives, including polyvagal theory and MNRI.
I also provide referral letters for medical transition surgeries. Typically, a single session is conducted for the letter, and there's no charge for the session or letter. I follow an informed consent model, believing individuals are best equipped to make decisions about their medical needs in collaboration with a medical provider. Clients seeking these services usually have a good understanding of the risks, benefits, and alternatives of their chosen procedure before reaching out. If you need more assistance in determining the right transition path, please inform me before scheduling.
A free 15-minute phone consultation is available to any prospective client to determine fit.
